Thailand Launches Digital Arrival Card System from 1 May

Streamline your entry into the Land of Smiles

Great news for travellers heading to Thailand: starting 1 May, the Thai government has officially launched a Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system to simplify the immigration process.

The traditional paper arrival cards, which all non-Thai visitors had to fill out before entering the country, are now being replaced by an online submission platform. The new system can be accessed at tdac.immigration.go.th, where travellers can easily complete their arrival information before landing or even while in the immigration queue.

How It Works

  • Simply visit the website on your smartphone or tablet
  • Fill in your personal details, passport information, flight number, and accommodation
  • Submit the form and show your confirmation screen to the immigration officer when requested

This new system is designed to reduce paperwork, speed up entry procedures, and minimise congestion at immigration counters.

No Smartphone? No Problem.

If you don’t have a smartphone or can’t access the internet, you can still complete your arrival card using one of the TDAC kiosks provided at the airport. These kiosks will be available in arrival areas at all major international airports across Thailand.

Why This Matters

This is part of Thailand’s broader efforts to modernise its border control process and offer a more seamless experience for tourists. Whether you’re heading to Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, or the islands, this small but smart update means less hassle and more holiday.

So if you’re arriving in Thailand from 1 May onwards, skip the paper and go digital—it’s quick, simple, and part of Thailand’s push toward becoming a more tech-friendly travel destination.
